Construction progress - April 2011

"As CCA begins hiring for the new correctional center, our county's population will increase, thereby increasing spending within the county. And when spending increases, the sales taxes increase. As a result of CCA's presence in our community, we also hope to see an influx of new businesses, such as restaurants, hotels, and spin-off companies."

Mabel Jenkins, chairman, Economic Development Council

"We are so very grateful to the residents, business and civic leaders and the elected officials in Millen and all of Jenkins County for showing us such an outpouring of support over the past months. We look forward to a strong partnership with the local community."

Tony Grande, CCA executive vice president and chief development officer
