CCA Joins Pahrump Valley Business Expo as Exhibitor

The Pahrump Valley Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring an annual event known as BIZ EXPO on Friday, April 23, from noon-7 p.m. and Saturday, April 24, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Pahrump Nugget Event Center, located at 681 S. Highway 160 in Pahrump, Nev. CCA’s Nevada Southern Detention Center will participate as an exhibitor.

A Federal Detention Center in Pahrump, Nevada

As a long-time partner of the federal government, CCA has been selected by the Department of Justice, Office of Federal Detention Trustee (OFDT), to construct a new detention center, to be located at 2250 E. Mesquite Avenue in Pahrump, Nye County, Nevada.

The 1,072-bed, $83.5 million facility will be owned and operated by CCA on behalf of the United States Marshals Service. Construction is scheduled to begin in Fall 2008, with a planned opening in 2010.
